Greater Bay Area Homeland Youth Community Foundation announces 'Anti-Epidemic Support Fund 2.0' is now open for application Sponsors HK$3 million dollar to support 30 youth organisations

Greater Bay Area Homeland Youth Community Foundation (hereafter 'The Foundation') introduced the 'Anti-Epidemic Support Fund' in April, providing a one-off grant to NGO and charitable organisations that service the Hong Kong youths to encourage them to actively carry out or maintain its continuous services to the young people. In view of the epidemic, the operation of many such organisations is affected. Therefore, the Foundation has decided to launch the 'Anti-Epidemic Support Fund 2.0', sponsoring HK$ 3 million to benefit 30 youth organisations. Each approved local youth organisation will receive HK$100,000 grant. The 'Anti-epidemic Support Fund 2.0' has three major features, applicants should be (1) servicing Hong Kong youths; (2) charitable or non-profit-making organisations; (3) the application process is simple and quick. After the closing date, it takes only two to three weeks to receive the grant. Priority will be given to smaller charitable or non-profit organisations that serve young people.

The recipients of the 'Anti-Epidemic Support Fund' in April highly appreciate the financial support. They think that it does not only solve the financial difficulties, but also sustain the employment of young employees and maintain their services to the young people, besides giving moral support to them during the epidemic. For less sizable organisations with limited resources, the 'Anti-Epidemic Support Fund' supports them to maintain its continuous services to the young people.

A support to small-scale youth organisations

'Our focus is to support the small-scale youth organisations this time. Under the epidemic, these organisations are relatively lacking of community assistance and facing great challenges. Therefore, we initiated ‘Anti-epidemic Support Fund 2.0’ and hope to assist these organisations to overcome the difficult times, in delivering their services to Hong Kong youths.' Said Mr Yang Bin, CEO of the Foundation.

'Anti-epidemic Support Fund 2.0' is now open for application, deadline of submission is 21st September 2020. Applicants may visit our website www.gbayouth.org.hk for details. Approved organisations are expected to receive the fund by mid of October.
