This edition of Out of the Ordinary features TO Wing Tung—better known as Tung—who has represented Hong Kong at the National Games, the Asian Games, and multiple international competitions. In 2019, she and her partner Sonia KONG Cheuk‑yee won a bronze medal at the National Beach Volleyball Grand Slam—the best-ever result for Hong Kong’s women’s beach volleyball team. 

Tung turned her passion into a profession, progressing from casual street courts to professional arenas. While competing at the highest level, she also dedicates her time to nurturing the next generation of players. To her, beach volleyball is more than a test of physical strength—it is providing ground for resilience, where every dive, spike, and jump demands total commitment. She fights for every point, every rally, and every opportunity to grow stronger.
