Introduction
In partnership with the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau (“FSTB”), the Greater Bay Area Homeland Youth Community Foundation (“the Foundation”) will be organising the Set Sail for GBA – Scheme for Financial Leaders of Tomorrow. The purpose of the programme is to provide a comprehensive platform for business leaders to directly interact with our young generation and positively influence them with these leaders’ inspiring experience in the GBA and the Mainland.
Scheme Period
November 2021 – March 2022(5 months)
Target Group
Local students who are studying in business, finance, or technology related degree programme in one of the 12 educational institutions* in Hong Kong.

Scheme Details
The scheme will consist of two phases:
Phase 1:
1. Kick-Off Ceremony
Date and Time:18 November 2021, 2-4 p.m.
Venue:HKCEC, Wan Chai
Attendees:Government Officials, Foundation’s Leaders, Participating Company Representatives, University Representatives and Registered Students
(First sharing session will be held on the same day after the ceremony.)
2. Sharing Sessions
Speakers will be senior leaders in financial services industry. They have strong work experience and business achievements in the GBA/Mainland, and will share their personal career stories, be it success or failure, to inspire and encourage students.

3. Local Financial Institutions Visits (4 visits)
Arrange visits to local financial and technological institutions in Hong Kong for participants to understand the functions and operating modes of these institutions.
Period:November 2021- Mid February 2022
Visiting institutions: HKEX、HKMA、SFC、Cyberport or Science Park
4. Soft-Skill Workshops (2 sessions)
To enhance the communication skills of students.

Phase 2:
5. Job-Shadowing
This allows students to observe closely the day-to-day work of senior leaders, who will also provide advice to students on their career aspiration. The job-shadowing will be done in 2 days at the participating companies. 30 outstanding students will be selected from phase 1 to participate.
