To encourage Hong Kong youth to engage actively with communities and respond to social needs through practical action, the Foundation has partnered with the Wu Zhi Qiao Charitable Foundation for the third consecutive year to organise the Hong Kong Youth Rural Revitalisation Tour. This initiative provides young people with a platform to immerse themselves in rural development on the Chinese Mainland, fostering personal growth while broadening their understanding of national development challenges. 

In coming July, participants will travel to Chengchong Village in Anhui Province to support local community development. Working alongside mainland university students, the team will undertake a range of missions, including hands‑on village construction to create elderly‑friendly facilities, environmental outreach activities to promote sustainable living, and the learning of traditional intangible cultural heritage skills—such as Danqiang opera and bamboo weaving—from veteran local artisans. Through these experiences, participants will gain deeper insight into cultural preservation and the vital role rural culture plays in the broader process of revitalisation.
