Hosted by our Foundation from 31 August to 2 September 2019, a total of 20 local young entrepreneurs were invited on an exchange tour of the innovation hubs of cities such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Dongguan. The tour enabled young Hong Kong entrepreneurs to know more about the technology and business environment of the Greater Bay Area, as well as to develop collaboration opportunities within the region.

The young entrepreneurs also visited an innovation town developed by Country Garden and joined a sharing session by the town’s management. Other stops on the tour included a visit to Guangzhou Iflytek to learn about this company’s products and development and to the Tianhe Hong Kong and Macau Youth Association, where participants learned about the policies, subsidies and services that are available to those who would set up a business in the area. In Dongguan, they joined a roadshow and an in-depth discussion with four Hong Kong entrepreneurs, while at Tencent’s Shenzhen headquarters they heard about the history, business focus and development of the company. Finally, they joined a sharing session by a representative from China Resources Land.

Through this event, the young entrepreneurs were able to gain a better understanding of the Greater Bay Area and the opportunities available there.
